Long-tailed Sun Skink
Eutropis longicaudata
25.0303, 121.411
Field Notes
Habitat:
Rock, damp area in the lower region of the mountain
Notes:
These are jittery little (some not so little) lizards. I had to creep as slow as the interest does for my bank account toward this fella to get this shot. Luckily he held fast long enough for me to at least snap one full body pic before it went scurrying into the rocks for cover.
Some interesting information on the Skink. They are easily identified by their impressively long tails, which measure twice the length of the head and body.
