Native goldenrod currently at the peak of blooming on our NONMOWED PROPERTY is supporting, attracting feeding hundreds of bees. You can stand in this wonderland and they are busy all around you. IT IS AMAZING, and WONDEROUS and WHAT LAND SHOULD SUPPORT, not a sterile green machine-grass-scape. It is difficult to drive by people's yards and see the wasteland of unused, mowed empty spaces with little life compared to a MEADOW. PLEASE SUPPORT MEADOWS. These are very orange bees. They also love native smaller flowers like asters and even Polygonum.
