Description:

Shiretoko 5 lakes tour, delicate yellow colored orchid like flower with sac and longish lips, no leaves. Top slightly whitish with small red spots, on thin vine.

Habitat:

Mixed forest is floored with dwarf bamboo and contains many woody vines.

This looks like an Impatiens sp. In the U.S., two species - I. capensis (Jewelweed) and I. pallida (Pale Touch-me-not) are similar in shape. http://www.southeasternflora.com/view_flora.asp?plantid=50
