Field Notes

Description:

Erect stem with a single yellow flower with dark purple nectar guides on the lower petal. Usually taller than this. Heart shaped leaves. Plant is deciduous.

Habitat:

Found in a moist alpine meadow with snow melt all around. Can be found in moist woods in northeastern Asia and northwestern North America.
