Field Notes

Description:

Ray flowers are yellow with the disk of the flower head also yellow. About 3 to 5 feet tall.

Habitat:

Found on prairies and plains of Minnesota and central North America, often on sandy soil.

Notes:

Spotted on a south facing hillside at Tamarac Visitor Center. It blooms through the summer and fall.
