Description:

This spotted cucumber beetle was spotted among goldenrod plants. A pretty little beetle but it is a major pest. It has a yellowish body with 10-15 black spots on its wing cover. Size about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long.

Habitat:

This beetle can be found in southern Canada and the eastern portion of the United States, with a similar species common to the West. This beetle was spotted on a goldenrod plant in a field at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, Maryland.
