Field Notes

Description:

Three small transparent egg masses forming a cluster of about 1,5 cm in size.

Habitat:

Found on a fallen beech branch near a forrest pond.

Notes:

I think these are egg masses of the caddis fly (Glyphotaelius pellucidus), though I am not sure. Suggestions are more than welcome. Spotted in Nieuwe Rande in rural area of Deventer, Holland.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

Not frog eggs?? Some arboreal amphibians lay eggs on trees..in froth. I am SIMPLY GUESSING...so intrigued by these photos. Hope someone IDs it soon. Good luck.
