Field Notes
Description:
Dirty white and grey underside. Forest green on the back and head. The throat is a reddish color. Very long thin beak.
Habitat:
A wooded area filled with mostly oak and birch.
Notes:
These particular ones nest in the nearby forested area of birch trees. They come to the giant oak in the middle of the lawn where we hang hummingbird feeders. The females will hang out in the branches above and dive-bomb each other or the males trying to eat at the feeder.
