Description:

Baby Yellow-bellied Slider (Trachemys scripta scripta),
Note the "large yellow blotch behind the eye that is most evident in juveniles and females", as well as all the subtle highlights of the carapace. They are the most common turtle in the Landings, Skidaway inner Barrier Island ponds/lagoons and over much of the coastal area.

Habitat:

Fresh water drainage ditch along 1.2 mile Nature Trail through maritime forest.
