Description:
Limacodidae or Euclidae, the slug or cup moth caterpillar has protective stingers all over its body. There are more than 1000 different kinds of them, and many more that are not yet described.
They are called slug moth caterpillars, because of their resemblance to slugs. They are also called cup moth caterpillars because their cocoon resembles a cup. They are found mostly in tropical areas, but occur worldwide.
Habitat:
Subtropical mountainous area. Thick brush. Very humid.
