Field Notes

Description:

Big Monitor lizard, 1.5m long with tail. Dark grey/olive body, light yellow/olive underneath. Head with contrasting blotches of paler colour, body with blotches arranged in vague stripes of contrasting pale colour. Flatish head with big black eyes. Large solid legs with large claws.

Habitat:

Seen on riverbank in Selous
