Field Notes

Description:

This is a species of frog in the Hylidae family. We went out on anight walk with our naturalist from the research centre looking for a much larger tree frog that lives in the area and could hear it calling but couldnt see it, our guide went into the vegetation to see if he could find it but came back with this lovely little frog instead which is the reason why it isnt on a tree/plant.

Habitat:

It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical swamps, freshwater marshes and as the research centre was situated on the Burro Burro river with the Esseqibo to the East it is definitely moist lowland forest.
