Description:

spotted this lovely bird, early morning at around 7 am, in the bird sanctuary. not sure what is it.....the peg on its head, makes it look like a prince with the patterned fur on the chest like a scarf....what a royal look.!!

Habitat:

near water body, in area which was quite sandy....the bird almost camoflaged with the surrounding

Yes .... you are correct...this lark is come from Kutch region, very close to jamnagar, where it was spotted. :)...Thanks once again
Nice! But the Crested Skylark has paler legs and is found mostly around Kutch in Gujarat hence I suggested Oriental Skylark.
Thanks Lenny Worthington and Wild Things....but searched into a little more depth to realize that this fellow is a crested lark and not an oriental one...but thanks to you both a lot.... :)
