Field Notes

Description:

Large goat sized Tahr, very solid body and legs. Dark grey on the back, lighter grey and brown on the body and creamy or light grey underneath. Long goat style head, big bright eyes and solid curved horns.

Habitat:

Low scrub rocky hillsides

Oh wow! Thank you again, that is so awesome. We were very lucky actually to have that close encounter, most of the day they were just vague grey shapes in the hillside. But this mum came down a bit closer and it was a thrill to see the babies also. Thanks PN family!
