Description:

Short, stalky buds that are bound to open and spread as leaves (sepals.)

Notes:

I am almost absolutely sure that this is a species of tulip, but I have no specific evidence to support my theory.

These are not tulips as tulips have a much broader type of leaf, even when it starts growing. These might be one of the following spring flowers: Snow Drops, Narcissus or Hyacinth.
