Description:
Female Phasmid from the genus Nescicroa.
Darker green on top and wing cover, lighter green on the abdomen, the bottom part of the body is orangish/yellow and white spots around her spiracles.
She has full wings and capable of flight.
The amazing thing of this Phasmid, she has purple/violet wing membrane!
Habitat:
High altitude tropical forest.
Notes:
Phasmid under the genus, Nescicroa is mostly recorded from Malaysia and Indonesia. Not much is known of their presence in Philippines. Another species from Philippines was described as Necroscia thisbe, Stål, 1877 but it probably should be under the genus of Nescicroa.
So, this one could be an undescribed species of Nescicroa from Philippines.
