bayucca, Thank you, and another thank you for understanding, and been a fantastic teacher
Altha, I am not sure, if I can follow you. Do you agree with my suggestion or not? If you are sceptic or not comfortable you might just add the species Utetheisa sp. as ID and I am happy with that one as well. I must admit these Utetheisa are quite tricky to ID. There is always the possibiltiy that it is Lotrix not Pulchella. My ID was based on the markings, which, as I already stated before, are not really clearly visible. That's why I add the suffix "cf." for compare with Pulchella. What do you think now ;-)...
bayucca, thank you. I agree to disagree with you on this one, but my knolladge is so limited, where can I send you photo's of the two under wings to compare they differ sum what and the orange one is ample here in the Norther Cape.
Erebidae, Arctiinae, Utetheisa cf. pulchella, I would say. Although yours looks pretty worn, I think it is Pulchella not Lotrix, the other candidate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utetheisa_pulchella
Some kind of Utetheisa. Cant research more atm, but perhaps someone else can support a bit more :) Very beautiful Altha
