Field Notes

Description:

The white-tailed deer has a reddish born summer coat and a grayish brown coat in winter. Its belly and undertail is white. Each spring the males grow antlers that are shed each winter.

Habitat:

Woodlands, swamplands, and grasslands

Notes:

Driving in to work, these 3 does were just hanging out in the road. They weren't too concerned about my car and took their time getting back into the woods. They were pretty small and I am guessing they were young ones - a year to 2 years old.
