Description:

Meta Ovilis is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the family Tetragnathidae. It can be found in the United States and Canada. Colors are brown, black, yellow, and red. Size is 0.3”-0.4” long (f) or 0.4” long (m). (This does not include the length of the feet.)

Habitat:

Habitat is caves, abandoned mines, basements, old wells, well-shaded ravines, and similar. I found this spider on the edge of a small cave in the Adirondack mountains.
