Description:

Very small bird with light green irridescent feahters on body with a blue collar and back; purple head. lApproximately 2.5 inches in length

Habitat:

Observed in a conservatory for butterflies in a screened in garden. Dont know if this is a local or a captured variety that lives in the conservatory.

It was in a new conservatory in Coral Gables. I wasn't sure if it was a local that was "captured" in the building or a "captive released." Tough to get these guys to "it still" while you take the shot. Thank you again for the help.
Not 100% on that ID as the head isn't shown well. Highly unlikely to be local. The only common hummingbirds in Florida are the Ruby-throated Hummingbird and the Rufous Hummingbird.
