Field Notes

Description:

Flowers look like tomato flowers, though white and slightly larger. Leaves get very large, one was a foot across, and have large spines growing up from the leaf surface. Stems also have numerous spines.

Habitat:

This specimen was in the Paleo Hammock preserve, at the edge of oak and pine woods, near an irrigation ditch.
