I completely understand. I have been using this for quite some time and do love it. I have zero issue with it at this point. I was simply replying to the initial comment made on my spotting which I felt I required assistance on.
The I-phone app is a lot younger than the others, but you have to remember that Apps for mobile devices are very much cut-down versions of the main programs due to the limited amount of memory available. Many functions such as search and mapping were out-sourced to 3rd party suppliers and apps which we have little or no control over. Our map supplier pulled the plug a while ago which is why that function was shut down. The plan is for future versions to have these built in but this requires time and money and Project Noah is a free program with the work done by volunteers. A Google search using relevant key words, including Project Noah works quite well in most instances, but no search will find spottings which have little or no information in them and we have very many users who do not add any information at all.
Hi Taylor, which App (platform) are you using?
We know the Android App is seriously flawed as it was written for the old operating system many years ago. For Android users an option is to use your browser to access the PC version of the program which has better functionality.
Updates for the Android and PC versions are in the pipeline but no time-scale yet.
Amplify and Apple versions should work well. the former being the most recent.
