Description:
Small brightly coloured kingfisher. Maybe only about 8-10cm tall. Bright blue on the back and wings, rust to cream chest, blue flecked head and white stripe below the eyes. Strong straight orange beak and orange legs. black eyes.
Habitat:
Seen on the banks of rufiji river in sort of woody undergrowth against the mud banks.
