Field Notes

Description:

Black and red female parasite wasp, slim and elongated abdomen with egglaying stinger. without stinger it is around 20-25 mm.

Habitat:

On a pruce searching for larvae to lay eggs in, mixed forest.

Notes:

With over 2000 species in Norway alone and a lot of them are similar, I'm not able to find out what kind of species this is with my limited tools.
