Golden rocket frog

This tiny frog is only found in the Bromeliads at Kaieteur national park and having seen one on the BBC's 'Lost land of the Jaguar' I really wanted to be able to see one so our guide kindly showed me where to look and sure enough there was a tiny weeny frog inside, photo 2 is the first one I saw but it was way down the bottom of the Bromeliad hiding in the shadows but then I found one further down the path on the edge of the bromeliad leaf so was able to get the much clearer photo number one. I included the second photo so you could see just how tiny this frog is (about the size of your fingernail). It is an opportuistic "sit and wait" predator whose diet includes many small arthropods, especially mosquitoes and midges. This frog is not poisonous however it does carry its tadpoles to different bromeliads to hatch.
