Field Notes

Description:

Due to their close appearance, many confuse Den. bursigerum with Den. secundum. To differentiate, the flowers of the Philippine endemic Den. bursigerum are arranged radially on the inflorescence, whereas the blooms of Den. secundum all face in one direction thus giving it the name "Toothbrush Orchid."
