Habitat:

The Sugarcane Looper was spotted, in our backyard vegetable plot, resting on Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) known in the Philippines as Talong. Plant information from http://www.stuartxchange.org/Talong.html,,,,,

Notes:

Erebidae; Erebinae; Euclidiini; Mocis frugalis. Wikipedia describes the distribution of this moth as "several parts of the world, including India, Sri Lanka, and other Oriental regions". It doesn't say "all Oriental regions". So, if that were the only distribution information available, I would have to call this moth Mocis sp. Fortunately, Philippine Lepidoptera show it in their collection and that confirms its presence here,
