Field Notes
Description:
Medium sized, yellowish-orange haired caterpillar. Some hairs significantly longer than the others. Dark speckling can be seen on the skin. Photo #2 shows the yellow caterpillar found on the same plant (possibly sibling).
Habitat:
Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Semi-wooded area bordering brackish water. Found on the underside of a leaf of a Common Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis).
