Field Notes

Description:

Red and orange leaves on a clearly defined tree. The branches are so dark that the leaves really stand out and form a vibrant image.

Habitat:

This is a photo taken on Lafayette College's campus in Easton, Pennsylvania. It was perfect fall weather and you can clearly see leaves all along the ground.

Notes:

This tree stands outside of the chapel on campus and is very gorgeous. A tremendous amount of leaves have fallen off of it but it still looks completely full.

Species ID Suggestions

Do you have any closer photos of the leaves? I'm thinking some sort of decorative Maple (Acer sp.)
