Field Notes

Description:

Mosquito sized, green body, clear wings, black dorsal and pectoral bands. Front set of legs longer than the other two pairs

Habitat:

under lights at night

Notes:

It seemed to be a Crane Fly but the legs are too short for the Crane flies so far found among the references. Green Midge is an identification from the Northern Hemisphere but the images could not be more closely alike
