Field Notes

Description:

Native to Pakistan, India, Myanmar, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan.

Habitat:

Habitat: Subtropical mountainous area, hot & humid, thick trees and brush, close to running water.

Notes:

When I shot this I honestly didn't even notice the ant crawling on this Japalura's face. At first I thought that the ant must have taken a wrong turn and would soon be the lizard's next meal. However, after shooting several different Japaluras that day I noticed ants on an array of them. I wonder if they are cleaners of some sort.
