In North America, it is naturalized in parts of most states from Minnesota east to Maryland, Quebec, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The species appears to be increasing in the Ohio River Valley. In the west, the species is present in Colorado, Montana, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.
