Field Notes

Description:

This attractive cortinarius mushroom had a pale brown cap roughened with dark brown fibrils. The raised umbo was purple as was the smooth stipe. Gills were pale and spores were brown.

Habitat:

Spotted on grass along a walking track - Baluk Willam Nature Conservation Reserve.

Notes:

Would appreciate any help with idetifying the species.Thanks.
