Field Notes

Description:

A medium bird about 25-30cm body length, totally solid brown in colour, long legs as for wading birds. Very distinctive shaped head, sort of conical with a curving cone like shape head. Long straight beak.

Habitat:

Seen on the marshy edges of an internal lake in Tarangire national Park.
