Field Notes

Description:

Very small songbird, Black plumage on back, head and wings. Cream/grey to light yellow on the chest and belly. Small white patch on the wings. Lightish yellow band where the grey chest meets the black head. Tiny straight beak. This is a male, very young one i think. The females are light grey and cream, no black.

Habitat:

Seen in bush on the fringes of rural farmland.
