Description:

First time I've spotted a flower like this. Blooms were about quarter sized around with 5 joined petals. Light purple pink with white center that had additional purple flecking. Several blooms to a stem on a low shrub (maybe 1.5 - 2 ft high. Soil is poor, Georgia clay & sand. Leaves were flat and frondlike.

Habitat:

west central ga. Located on a fence line at the edge of a field
