Field Notes

Notes:

I'm having a hard time determining which species of Halysidota this is, but am leaning towards Halysidota intensa.

OK, this one will stay at the genus level. Thanks for the info bayucca!
Definitely a Halysidota sp. I once learned that it is not possible to separate some of the Halyidota without the native specimen and DNA.
Carol, it is a close relative to the banded Tussock Moth, just a tropical species of the same genus.
I love the design. It reminds me of a spot I have; Banded Tussock Moth.
