Field Notes

Description:

Tall bird standing nearly 1 metre. Long black legs, black wing and tail feathers. Most of body and chest is light grey. Black accent feathers on the back of the head that splay up in a sort of comb. Red bare patch around the eyes, short curved beak.

Habitat:

Seen stalking through long grasslands in Ngorongoro crater.
