Description:

The cactus wren is about eight inches (21 cm) long. It has a white belly with brown spots, and speckled brown, black and white feathers on its back, wings and head. It has black feathers on its throat and a long stripe of white feathers that looks like eyebrows. It has long legs and a long pointed bill.

One of my favorite birds ever! When we visited the botanical garden and deserts in Arizona these little guys were in social groups, very acrobatic on the plants and very easy to get close to.
