Description:
about 1cm fore wings cover underwings when at rest. Antenna held erect brown with darker wave pattern in three layers, medium dark eyes
Habitat:
this one was found on glass under lights on a rainy night near woodlands by a road
Notes:
wing and carapace damage would seem to indicate a rough night. I have added the moth from a second spotting. I think these are our non-reddish Wave Moths and are the same moth from different nights showing some interesting differences in colour and depth of colour on a single specimen. It is not all due to light. Unless that wing damage is just there to make it seem as though they are the same moth....
