Field Notes

Description:

Another isopod. When I picked up a rock on the water's edge there were dozens of these. They seem to have little scales on each segment, some of which are bluish-green

Habitat:

Under a rock on the water's edge at a rocky beach

Interesting read http://www.dailybreeze.com/environment-and-nature/20150601/new-species-of-marine
Thanks for the suggestion. Though related to pill millipedes, this is a marine isopod and pill millipedes are usually just the name for the terrestrial kind
