Field Notes

Description:

The first photo shows 3 babies at a day old, and they are completely white. The second and third photos show 2 babies (not sure what happened to the 3rd) at around 2.5 weeks old, where they actually look like kestrels now.

Habitat:

On the side of an abandoned train car in a mixed-grass prairie.
