Description:
About 12cm long, excluding the tail. Very well camouflaged against the rocky, sandy ground. Base colour is pale with two lateral brown stripes and a broad dorsal stripe with V-shaped dark markings; top of the head is also brown, with a dark patch at the posterior corner of the eye and a dark stripe along the mouth.
Habitat:
Found in an arid area on the western slope of the Ecuadorian Andes, called "Desierto de Jubones", at about 1500m above sea level.
