Field Notes

Description:

It measures about 17.5 cm long. It distinguishes itself from other sanhaçus the Tangara genus by the white spot at the meeting of the wings. Does not show sexual dimorphism. His singing is a loud, shrill chirped.

Habitat:

One of the most common birds in various types of habitats, both in moist as dry, ranging from the edge of the woods and barns spots to garden cities, trees and shrubs in agricultural regions. Live in groups of about 6 people, close to the treetops. It can be found throughout the Brazilian Amazon.
