Description:

This Buzzard is a medium-sized broad-winged bird of prey, reaching some 100 to 120 cm in wingspan. It has compact stature, with short, almost non-existent neck and round head. It sports short tail. Its colors may vary, but are usually brown with whitish underparts.

Habitat:

This Buzzard is probably the most common bird of prey in our region - mountains (Alps and Jura) around the lake Geneva. In this parts of central Europe, Buzzard is nesting resident. Here seen soaring over mixed mountainous forest, bordering with mountain pastures.
