Description:

I think there are different species of these Lily trotters, but it is unmistakable in its silhouette and habit. Looks like a wading bird, long legs with big long toes, Brownish body, white chest, brown on top of head with black along the edge of the brown blending with the eye. Short straight beak.

Habitat:

Seen in the shallow marshy edges of an internal lake in Tarangire National Park.
