Weevil
-37.9511, 145.254
Field Notes
Description:
A 5 mm long knobbly and gnarly weevil with tufts of brown setae on the thorax. The head was tucked under and all I could see were a pair of small black spaced eyes.
Thick felty legs were seen holding on to the plant stem.
Habitat:
Spotted on a myrtle plant in a national park.
Notes:
The weevil looked like a dried-up stem gall. <br>
Family: Curculionidae
