Description:

Also known as the Big Cypress Fox Squirrel, this fellow hardly remained still for a moment! The species has several color variations.

Habitat:

Seen around Big Cypress National Preserve.

Notes:

Listed as threatened in the state of Florida, it is only found southwest of Lake Okeechobee and south of the Caloosahatchee River.
