Description:
The hooded crow is easily identified by its two-color plumage; the body is a dirty grey, while the wings, tail, head and bib are black. It has recently been identified as a separate species from the Carrion Crow.
Habitat:
Like all corvids, Hooded Crows are intelligent opportunists and can be found in both urban and rural settings. This one was gleaning scraps in a parking lot.
