Description:
A Nightjar species found in South Asia. These nocturnal birds have an amazing camouflage, blending perfectly with the habitat. Their camouflage protects them from predators during the day when it's roosting time for them.
Habitat:
Wild Ass Sanctuary encompasses an area of 4953.71 sq. km. of the Little Rann of Kutch, India. It's unique habitat comprises of saline mudflats, marshes, scrub-land and large seasonal wetlands. In the monsoon, the sanctuary is filled with seasonal brackish water and once it dries up, the land transforms into a vast span of cracked land. It is a haven for avian diversity ranging from waders to raptors.
